Updates about people working in the transportation and road-related industries.

  • Bruce McCuaig has joined AECOM as Vice-President, Canada Transit Sector Market Leader. He previously worked in the Privy Council Office of the Government of Canada, as former President and Chief Executive Officer of Metrolinx, and has held a variety of roles at the Ontario Ministry of Transportation.
  • Darren Chaisson has been appointed Deputy Minister of Prince Edward Island Transportation, Infrastructure and Energy.
  • Members of the Institute of Transportation Engineers have elected Bruce Belmore as International President and Randy McCourt as International Vice-President for 2019. 
  • Jim Berezowsky is the new Director of Public Works for the City of Winnipeg. His previous role was Manager of Streets Maintenance.
  • Ray Mantha has replaced Brian Henderson as Executive Director of the Transportation Association of Canada (TAC) Foundation.
  • Shauna Lehmann has been appointed Director of the newly-created Environment Section at Saskatchewan Highways and Infrastructure as part of an overall ministry re-organization. Shauna will continue as current Chair of TAC’s Environmental Issues Management Standing Committee.
  • Brian Hollingworth has accepted a new role as Director of Transportation Planning and Parking at the City of Hamilton and will continue to represent the City on the TAC Urban Transportation Council.
  • Rafika Lassel has replaced Emmanuelle Royer as Director of Communications for l’Association québécoise des transports (AQTr). Rafika is also Technical Expertise Manager.
  • Alfred A. Guebert, WATT Consulting Group, has replaced Michael Skene, Principal and Technical Lead, as Chair of TAC’s Traffic Operations and Management Standing Committee. Some highlights under Mike’s 25-year leadership include work surrounding the Canadian Guide to Neighbourhood Traffic Calming (1998); collaborative initiatives with the Canadian Institute of Transportation Engineers; and cross-country seminars based on TAC’s Bikeway Traffic Control Guidelines for Canada (2012).
